Join the Discussion: telephone town hall on April 12

Thursday April 9 2015

Our next National Day of Action approaches on April 23rd, and we’re looking ahead to the next federal election.

The federal election has a powerful effect on our jobs and working conditions. This Conservative government undermined our collective bargaining rights by legislating us back to work in 2011, and it supports Canada Post’s five-point plan to cut services and jobs.

To discuss our plans, and to hear your input, we’ve scheduled a telephone town hall meeting for Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time in English, and 4 p.m. Eastern Time in French.

On Sunday, we’ll call you at the number we have on file and connect you to the session. All you need to do is answer the phone. If you miss the call, we’ll leave instructions on your voicemail so you can dial in during the town hall.

I will make a brief presentation about our plans and preparations for the election, and the rest of our time will be open for your questions and comments. Your voice belongs in the discussion, and I hope you can join in!

In solidarity,

Denis Lemelin
National President (2008-2015)
